About The Position

Holy Redeemer Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled 1st Grade Teacher to join its school community. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and spiritual development of young learners while integrating Catholic values into daily instruction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
  • Practicing Catholic or willingness to support the mission of Catholic education.
  • Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate, student-centered lessons.
  • Commitment to supporting the academic and spiritual growth of students.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with early elementary students preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with grade-level curriculum and standards across core subjects.
  • Foster a positive, welcoming, and faith-centered classroom environment.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, prayer, and values throughout the school day.
  • Assess student progress through observations, assignments, and assessments, providing timely feedback.
  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and readiness levels.
  • Establish clear classroom routines and maintain effective behavior management.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success and school initiatives.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-related events.
