About The Position

Live Oaks Golf Club, managed by Bobby Jones Links, is seeking a motivated and dedicated 1st Assistant Golf Professional to lead the daily operations of its golf department. This is a unique opportunity to help set the direction for the club from the ground up. The candidate will work alongside a PGA General Manager and is intended to grow into the Head Golf Professional role in 2-3 years. Bobby Jones Links is a club management and development company founded in 2000, serving various types of golf courses with a commitment to serving people and creating exceptional experiences. Live Oaks Golf Club, established in 1969, is an 18-hole, par 71 semi-private course located northwest of Jackson, MS. The club has recently undergone significant transformations, including the addition of the Reed House, renovation of Roosevelt’s restaurant, and construction of the "Bunkhouse" accommodation, positioning it as a premier destination.

Requirements

Willingness to learn
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems
Understanding of Club Financials
Must have a thorough working knowledge of the club’s golf operation

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional service to members and guests at all times
Manage daily golf operations, including opening and closing of the Pro Shop
Assist in the planning and execution of golf tournaments and club events
Recruit, hire, and train new team members as needed
Create training programs, operational standards, and manuals
Generate weekly scheduling for all golf department team members
Participate in our merchandising program which includes ordering, receiving, displaying, and inventory control
Devise best practices to maximize merchandise sales
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
