Requirements

  • Hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university
  • Previous experience supporting children with additional needs in a UK school or educational setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication skills
  • Genuine commitment to making a meaningful difference to one child’s educational journey
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • School is unable to offer visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a named pupil with additional needs throughout the school day
  • Implementing strategies outlined in the pupil’s EHCP under SENDCO guidance
  • Supporting the pupil to access the curriculum, engage with peers and participate positively in school life
  • Maintaining accurate records of progress and wellbeing and feeding back to the class teacher and SENDCO
  • Building a consistent, trusted and nurturing relationship with the pupil and their family
