About The Position

This role involves working as a 1 on 1 Aide for a Kindergarten student with autism and/or behavioral issues. The candidate will provide support and encouragement, assist with classwork individually and in small groups, and work under the direction of the classroom teacher. Training will be provided to meet the student's behavioral, medical, and educational needs.

Requirements

• Candidate should have a great deal of patience to work with students with autism and/or behavioral issues
• Candidate should have a passion for working with students in elementary school grades

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate support and encouragement to student
• Assist student with class work in small groups and individually
• Work under the supervision/direction of the classroom teacher
• Be willing to be trained to meet the behavioral, medical, and educational needs of the student
• Assist with behavioral needs, medical needs, toileting and personal healthcare as needed
