About The Position
Seeking an owner-operator to drive a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate for dry-freight loads. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Drivers need their own DOT/MC authority, though lease-on options are also available. Routes include some out-and-back runs, shorter hauls in surrounding states, and some nights on the road. Drivers may be home on weekends or choose to run longer. The company is working to add more dedicated accounts and offers some direct-access accounts, with a focus on pay and home time that supports work-life balance. A dedicated dispatch/freight manager and other tools are offered to support drivers. The posting advertises potential earnings of up to $8,000 weekly.
Requirements
- Own or operate a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate.
- Have a pallet jack.
- Have a current DOT medical card.
- Have DOT/MC authority, or use an available lease-on option.
- Meet customers' background requirements, including no DUI/DWI in the past seven years and a decent background.
