Requirements for Account Director

  • Proven marketing leadership experience in a similar environment
  • A strong and experienced leader who can mentor a team and create a high-performing and happy environment
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to manage internal and external stakeholders to establish strong client and agency relationships
  • Superb project management skills, including an eye for detail, being process and deadline-driven with an ability to manage multiple projects
  • A clear understanding of clients’ marketing needs and a solid track record of working directly with clients on their marketing and communication strategies
  • Comfort in developing creative briefs, presentations, proposals, estimates, and project plans to ensure milestones and client objectives are achieved
  • An enthusiastic attitude with a ‘can-do’ approach to tasks and briefs, no matter how big or small. You will need to be proactive and resourceful in your approach to all aspects of the role
  • Enjoy a fast pace, constant change and feel comfortable in a ‘test and learn’ environment that’s always exploring the newest digital platforms and tools without fear

Responsibilities for Account Director

  • Identify, nurture, and expand client relationships by engaging in meaningful dialogue, providing personalized insights, and establishing trust-based business relationships
  • Use a data-driven approach to managing the pipeline, and evaluate opportunities for fit
  • Develop project proposals, estimates, and plans that deliver maximum value to the agency and our clients
  • Track and monitor overall account performance metrics to meet financial targets
  • Develop and maintain the highest standards of client relations & engagement
  • Develop long and short-term strategic plans for clients
  • Model and mentor best practices for client communications
  • Support Account Managers in issue escalation and risk management
  • Foster cross-functional teams throughout the agency to ensure team health and happiness

By leading with a positive attitude and displaying superior knowledge of BSTRO services and processes, the Account Director can help ensure the success of our agency.
