Zuora SME Consultant
About The Position
RGP is seeking a highly experienced Zuora Subject Matter Expert Consultant to partner with a client on assessing, optimizing, and enhancing its subscription billing and revenue ecosystem. The consultant will serve as a trusted advisor, providing an independent perspective on current-state processes, systems architecture, and integration frameworks. The engagement is 3–4 months and is fully remote. The role requires deep expertise in subscription billing, revenue recognition, and ERP integrations, as well as experience leading multiple Zuora implementations across diverse environments. The consultant will work with Finance, Revenue Accounting, IT, Business Systems, and Operations teams to identify improvements, provide strategic recommendations, and support future-state roadmap and architecture development.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working with Zuora platforms.
- Deep expertise in Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue (RevPro).
- Deep expertise in subscription-based business models and ASC 606 / revenue recognition.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce-to-Billing and Order-to-Cash process flows.
- Experience with NetSuite and complex ERP integrations.
- Experience with multiple Zuora implementation, optimization, or transformation projects across different organizations.
- Ability to engage with executive stakeholders and provide strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities
- Assess existing Zuora architecture and business processes and provide recommendations.
- Evaluate billing, revenue recognition, and quote-to-cash workflows.
- Review and optimize integrations between Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue (RevPro), NetSuite, and Salesforce.
- Identify process gaps, risks, and opportunities for automation and scalability.
- Provide strategic guidance and challenge assumptions about systems configuration and business workflows.
- Partner with Finance, Revenue Accounting, IT, Business Systems, and Operations teams.
- Support roadmap development and future-state architecture recommendations.
