About The Position

Togetherhood is expanding to Boston and seeking enthusiastic instructors to join their network. Togetherhood is a marketplace connecting talented educators with schools and communities for enrichment programs. Their mission is to infuse every community with high-quality enrichment and education. They support instructors in sharing their skills and passion with children. The role involves teaching K-12 students in after-school programs for terms ranging from 6 to 18 weeks. Instructors are expected to create their own curriculum and foster a love for fitness and Zumba in children.

Requirements

Experience teaching school-age children
Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Ability to bring your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
Cooperative, supportive, flexible
Dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
Provide a resume showcasing relevant teaching experience
If lacking formal teaching experience, share any other relevant experience or training in a cover letter or application questionnaire

Responsibilities

Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
Create memorable experiences for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for Fitness and Zumba
Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!), prepared with the lesson plan for the day
Help children understand why Zumba and fitness is so rewarding and how it's helped shape you as a person
