About The Position

The Zone Manager exercises complete responsibility for developing and managing two business operations that increases sales, profitability, market share, and customer and employee satisfaction. This role is based out of Austin, TX and supports Austin, Round Rock, Corpus Christi, and San Antonio, TX. The Zone Manager will manage at least two branch managers within a zone and adjust sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each sales center based on goals set for the region. They will assess local market conditions, identify current and prospective sales opportunities, and develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans for the branches. The role involves researching, analyzing, and implementing strategic and marketing plans, and recommending desirable changes in the policies and goals of the branches and the organization. The Zone Manager is responsible for growing the business through new product development, complementary product development, and new customer and market development. They will assume responsibility for branches’ P&L to meet branch, region, and corporate profitability goals and objectives, conducting monthly reviews of branch P&L with branch managers and regional managers. The position requires interacting with customers to develop relationships and ensure requirements are met, as well as hiring, developing, and evaluating employees to achieve corporate and personal objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or ten years distribution experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience leading and managing multiple locations with responsibility for sales, operations, financial performance, and team development.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
