About The Position

The Zone Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence within a packaging zone. This role is responsible for delivering on zone-level KPIs and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Focus on process optimization (including safety and quality improvements), equipment reliability, machine capacity and utilization, and waste elimination. The zone manager is directly responsible for leading a team of supervisors, engineer(s), continuous improvement engineer(s), process support engineer (where applicable) dedicate to the Zone, while also collaborating with schedulers, analysts, training, safety resources, and other support groups and functional leaders. The zone manager will foster a culture of ownership and excellence through our PWS (Perrigo Work Systems) pillars, ensuring follow up through action initiation. This position includes 3 shift responsibilities. The salary range for this role is $140,000- $173,000 Scope of the Role Oversee Zone of 4-8 Packaging Lines 3 shift responsibility including Approx. 50-100 Direct Labor employees in scope Approx. 3-9 Exempt/Non-Exempt direct reports Understand and analyze data to drive focused improvement. Own all PWS initiatives and KPIs within the zone. Work effectively with support functions and operations leadership to translate improvement opportunities into sustained improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or packaging experience with a focus on PWS and reliability.
  • Proven effective leadership experience in continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong Excel, Redzone and Power BI skills.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Perrigo’s core behaviors and values.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze zone performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead and coach PWS initiatives (such as 5S, Centerlining, Defect Handling, Changeover optimization, Visual Management, etc) to drive improvement and ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate kaizen events, problem‑solving workshops, and standard work development.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including quality, maintenance, engineering, scheduling, safety, and training/development to ensure alignment and sustained results.
