Job Summary: The Zone Leader coordinates with other work cells and departments to meet production requirements of the company and needs of the customers, with accountability for results in terms of costs, methods, quality, quality of production, operations, and personnel. This position will report to the Fabrication Manager.

Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year of machine operator experience within a production cell or similar manufacturing environment.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Must be able to communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED.
Attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow jobs through to completion.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Assists with conducting constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Assists with scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff within the department.
May be asked to participate in accident/incident reviews and develop corrective actions.
Serves as a facilitator to the work team in areas of problem solving, issue resolution, continuous improvement, and training.
Ensures a safe working environment is maintained on the production floor.
Must be willing to learn all positions within the team and production cell.
