About The Position
Anchor Software LLC is seeking a Mainframe Developer to work on complex, mission-critical systems as part of a collaborative team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications and systems, with a focus on z/OS and IBM mainframe technologies. This is a remote position.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mainframe development using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of z/OS or IBM mainframe environments.
- Experience with mainframe debugging tools such as XPEDITER or File-AID.
- Familiarity with batch processing, VSAM, and data management techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications and systems.
- Write, test, and debug COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe-based code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Analyze and resolve mainframe system issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
- Support mainframe batch processing, job scheduling, and automation.
- Document technical specifications, processes, and system changes.
