About The Position

The YouthBuild Case Manager provides comprehensive, participant-centered case management and supportive services to YouthBuild participants ages 16-24. The Case Manager works closely with participants to identify barriers, develop individualized service plans, coordinate supportive services, and support educational, employment, and personal development goals throughout program participation.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in case management, education, social work, workforce development or other human service field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience providing case management, youth services, workforce development, education, or related human services.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of case management principles and best practices.
  • Understanding of youth development, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based practice.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with diverse youth populations.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management databases.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with young adults facing barriers to employment and education and/or refugees, immigrants, and low English proficiency individuals is preferred.
  • Knowledge of workforce development systems and career pathways preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate participants educational, employment, housing, transportation, financial, mental health, and supportive service needs.
  • Develop Individual Service Plans with measurable goals and complete the job readiness portfolio.
  • Maintain ongoing case management to identify barriers to participation and coordinate appropriate interventions and referrals.
  • Support participants in achieving educational goals, including GED completion, high school diploma attainment, industry-recognized credentials, and post-secondary enrollment.
  • Monitor participant attendance, engagement, academic progress, credential attainment, and employment readiness.
  • Assist participants with career exploration, career planning, resume development, interview preparation, and employment readiness.
  • Encourage leadership development, civic engagement, and life skills growth consistent with the YouthBuild model.
  • Assist participants in transitioning to employment, apprenticeships, advanced training, military service, or higher education, in partnership with Employment and Career Pathways team members.
  • Facilitate workshops related to job readiness, life skills, financial literacy, conflict resolution, goal setting, wellness, and leadership development.
  • Assist participants in developing problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and self- advocacy skills.
  • Participate in outreach and recruitment efforts as needed.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely participant case files in accordance with organization/grant requirements.
  • Enter participant information into required information systems and databases.
  • Track participant outcomes and supportive service utilization.
  • Collaborate with YouthBuild instructors, career coaches, construction staff, leadership, and external partners to coordinate participant success.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, staffing discussions, and case reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned
