The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) is a well-established Manhattan community-based agency that supports services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults throughout Manhattan and New York City. We work every day for a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families. The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville, and seek to deliver programs that are impactful, innovative, and intergenerational. Beacon Community Centers are in public schools throughout New York City and serve youth from kindergarten through age 21 and adults ages 22 and older, including Older Adults. Beacons operate year-round on non-school hours, weekdays, evenings, weekends and in the summer as a resource to the entire community by offering integrated programming tailored to local needs. During the summer, Beacons collaborate with the New York City Public Schools for the Summer Rising initiative. The Youth Worker is assigned to assist in planning and facilitating group activities for groups of coed children (grades K-12). They provide a safe and engaging learning environment to promote enrichment, project-based learning, social-emotional competencies, STEM, Theater, Mixed Media Art, Career Awareness, sports, and trips. The program is delivered through a comprehensive menu of services, including group work practices to provide a positive and creative environment for social and intellectual development.
