Performs shelter and crisis intakes to identify appropriate services and safety measures. Orients youth to agency policies, programs, and expectations. Monitors youth, participates in recreational and educational activities, supervises daily hygiene and chores, prepares meals, and provides crisis intervention. This role involves working with youth from diverse backgrounds and requires a trauma-informed approach. The position also includes documentation of client information, medication administration, transportation of youth, coordination of services, and crisis intervention, including physical holds if necessary. The worker will interface with law enforcement, child protective services, and other community partners.
