The YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking a motivated individual to provide effective program delivery for the YMCA Youth Education Support Program, targeting youth in grades 11, 12, and first-year post-secondary education. The YMCA is committed to creating a representative workforce, prioritizing candidates with an Indigenous lens and worldview, including lived experience, to best serve the community. The role involves providing holistic academic support, including educational attainment goals, and social-emotional and community support to enhance well-being, belonging, and academic motivation. Through individualized support, workshops, vocational tours, tutoring, and mentorship, the goal is to reduce barriers to post-secondary access. This position offers opportunities to develop planning, implementation, and program evaluation skills with support from experienced leaders. A flexible schedule, including potential evenings and weekends, is required. This is a full-time position eligible for benefits. The current funding for this position is until March 31, 2027, with anticipated extensions.
