About The Position

ViaQuest ICFs is seeking Youth Support Specialists (DSPs) to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Comprehensive training is provided, including CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of the individuals served. The position is suitable for individuals interested in the IDD field, nursing assistants, those pursuing STNA careers, students, and candidates of all ages (high school graduates to retirees).

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of DSP experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to foster independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety.
• Supervising, teaching, and assisting individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Completing household tasks such as meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
