At MAB Community Services and Ivy Street School, we are dedicated to empowering neurodiverse young people and individuals living with brain injuries to build meaningful, independent lives. The Ivy Street School is a small, year-round private residential special education school serving neurodiverse adolescents and young adults ages 13–22. We are committed to advancing equity, access, independence, and community inclusion for students with complex learning, emotional, behavioral, and therapeutic needs. Our multidisciplinary team believes every student is exceptional. Through a highly individualized, relationship-based approach, we create educational and therapeutic experiences that help students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and independently. While our classrooms have four walls, we consider Boston our second classroom. Students regularly engage in meaningful community-based learning experiences that support transition planning, life skills, and independent living. We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and flexible Per Diem Youth Support Counselors to work across both our educational and residential programs. This is a highly interactive, hands-on role supporting neurodiverse adolescents throughout their school day, residential routines, community experiences, and therapeutic programming. Staff work collaboratively with teachers, clinicians, nurses, and residential teams to help students develop the skills needed for adulthood and independent living. If you’re someone who wants your work to matter—and you don’t mind being patient, adaptable, and actively engaged—this may be the role for you.
