About The Position
Youth Sports Instructors Cedar Hills Recreation Center is hiring afterschool and weekend sports instructors! We are looking for community and safety-focused individuals who are excited to share their passion for recreation with participants of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and interests. Classes may take place indoors or outdoors. Instructors should be able to support individual participant needs while creating a positive group environment.
Requirements
- Must love working with people of all ages and abilities
- Able to work inside and outside
- At least 16 years of age (for Instructor I)
- At least 1 year of experience in leading and instructing general classes (for Instructor II)
- Over 1 year of experience and specialized training in the assigned program area (for Instructor III)
- 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license (for Instructor III)
Responsibilities
- Adjusting activities to match each participant’s ability and skill level
- Encouraging participation and building a positive, welcoming community
- Managing group dynamics and reinforcing program expectations
- Supporting participants in following THPRD policies and procedures
