About The Position

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Youth Sports Instructor to join their team. This role focuses on positively impacting the community through athletics, helping children reach their potential, achieve age-appropriate goals, and change lives within the Y community. The instructor will be responsible for leading youth sports programming, teaching age-appropriate skills following YMCA curriculum, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for participants.

Requirements

• Minimum 16 years of age
• Excellent knowledge of instructing in the program area - Gymnastics!
• Ability to perform activities which require sustained concentration and attention
• Mornings, nights, and/or weekend availability

Responsibilities

• Run on-site instruction for youth sports programming including stretch & warmup, activities, & games for respective sport.
• Teach age-appropriate skills following YMCA curriculum for respective sport.
• Provide a safe & clean environment that allows members and participants to learn YMCA programs.
• Lead classes with positivity & enthusiasm.
• Provide excellent service to members and participants.
