About The Position

Soccer Stars is the leading youth sports program for children ages 12 months to 13 years on Long Island and in Eastern Queens. Our acclaimed program provides an energetic, enjoyable, and age-suitable introduction to the fantastic game of soccer by providing classes, camps, and clinics held in schools, community centers, and local parks. We take pride in our creative curriculum, which focuses not only on soccer skills but also on fostering social skills and character development, creating a positive and lasting impact on every child we coach. We also offer multisport programs as well as non contact martial arts programs!

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to pass background check

Nice To Haves

Passion for sports / fitness and working with young children, particularly early childhood (1-5 yrs,) and elementary ages (5-12 yrs.)
Background in fitness a plus (athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, exercise science, kinesiology, physical education, etc.)
Background working with children a plus (camp counselor, elementary education substitute teacher, coach, etc.)
Flexible or open availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

Show up on time for every class to set themselves up for success
Use individual attention to ensure every child has success
Use a non-competitive approach to ensure classes are fun with a stress-free environment
Use positive reinforcement to encourage children to do better and celebrate success
Have a blast. Be open-minded, and know that coaching is a continuous journey.
Be open to feedback and strive to be better by attending regular trainings and following the Super Soccer Stars Coaching Manual
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to local schools/location with your own reliable transportation.
The more you are able and willing to travel, the more work you will have!
Work at locations all across Long Island & Queens.
