About The Position
Are you a dedicated, experienced youth worker seeking a fulfilling opportunity to guide and support teenage boys? If you are looking for weekend work and want to be a vital part of a team committed to improving our community? We are seeking a passionate, experienced Youth Specialist to join our team at a Youth Residential Program in Bellville, MI. We have full-time and part-time opportunities in a role that is essential for providing direct support, guidance, and security to youth in a supportive, structured residential environment. As a Youth Specialist, you will be a key role model and source of support for teenage boys residing in the program. Your primary shift will be days and afternoon shifts on weekends.
Requirements
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Reliable, ongoing transportation is essential.
- Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Satisfactory results on an MDHS Central Registry Clearance and State Police Record Check.
- Satisfactory physical exam within one year of hire and a negative TB test.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with teenage boys.
- Experience in a youth residential program.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support, guidance, and security to youth in a supportive, structured residential environment.
- Act as a key role model and source of support for teenage boys residing in the program.
- Provide transportation for the youth.
