Youth Soccer Coach in Piedmont and Montclair
About The Position
Soccer Shots is seeking a passionate part-time Youth Soccer Coach to serve children ages 2-8. This role involves leading engaging soccer sessions, encouraging character development, and fostering a safe and inclusive environment. While it can be demanding, coaching our kids will be one of the most rewarding things you ever do. The position is located in Piedmont and Montclair. Local candidates are preferred. The schedule offers flexibility, with hours between Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm, and Saturday/Sunday from 9 am-1 pm. Availability to work one day on the weekend is required. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive paid training is provided.
Requirements
- Genuine passion for children and sports
- Safety conscious
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills
- Must be available to work one day out of the weekend.
- A full ten-week commitment is required to take on a lead role.

Responsibilities
- Bring “Soccer Island” alive with your enthusiasm and creativity
- Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down
- Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling
- Utilize expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
- Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers
