About The Position

We are hiring part-time passionate, engaging coaches who are committed to impacting San Antonio youth through soccer. Soccer Shots offers noncompetitive, introductory soccer classes (“sessions”) on a weekly basis at parks, preschools, daycares, indoor facilities, and elementary schools around the greater San Antonio area. Schedules are created seasonally (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) and determined based on one’s availability and location. Coaches must be able to commit to an entire season schedule with priority given to those who are available at least 3 half-days out of the week (or a minimum of 8 hours a week). Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program for children ages 2-8 with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum and communication.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License.
• Pass an FBI Criminal Background Check.
• Fully authorized to work in the US without restriction.
• Currently live in the greater San Antonio metropolitan area.
• Currently certified or able to become CPR & First Aid certified.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish proficiency/fluency is a plus.
• Coaching or childhood education experience preferred.
• Enthusiastic and fun.
• Patient and adaptable.
• Professional and punctual.
• Collaborative and communicative.
• Confident and excited to work with children (can safely manage class of up to 12 children).
• Soccer/sports enthusiasts.

Responsibilities

• Impact San Antonio youth through soccer.
• Lead noncompetitive, introductory soccer classes for children ages 2-8.
• Commit to an entire season schedule.
• Be available at least 3 half-days out of the week (or a minimum of 8 hours a week).
• Engage and inspire children.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ongoing communication with children, parents, partners, and team members.
• Utilize expert-approved curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards, emphasizing character development and skill building.
