Youth Soccer Coach
About The Position
Soccer Shots Cleveland is hiring fun, energetic, and dependable part-time coaches who want to positively impact children’s lives. Our coaches lead high-energy, engaging soccer sessions for children ages 2–8 while teaching character development and making every class the best 30–40 minutes of a child’s week. We travel to different parks, rec centers, churches, and schools in the surrounding areas to offer the program (usually 1-4 sessions back to back at a location). Soccer Shots is the nationally recognized leader in youth soccer development. We offer a fun, age-appropriate introduction to soccer through an innovative curriculum that emphasizes skill-building, teamwork, confidence, and character. Our mission is simple: to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve. The ideal candidate is available: Monday–Friday mornings, and/or Monday–Thursday evenings, and/or Saturday mornings/evenings Coaches typically work 1–3 days per week and under 15 hours per week. This is a part-time, seasonal position with opportunities to return each season. Season Schedule: Winter: January – mid-March Spring: April – early June Summer: mid-June – mid-August Fall: September – mid-November Soccer Shots is the most trusted and engaging children’s soccer program for children ages 2 to 8. Requirements
- Safety-conscious: Prioritizes the well-being of every child
- Caring: Engages with each child using positive affirmation
- Organized: Prepares ahead and follows the lesson plan
- Responsible: Follows through and represents Soccer Shots well
- Energetic: Creates a fun, exciting environment
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to commit to multiple consecutive seasons
Nice To Haves
- Prior soccer experience (while helpful) is not required—just a passion for working with children
Responsibilities
- Lead 30–40 minute sessions using our curriculum (training provided)
- Bring high energy, positivity, and fun to every class
- Travel to partner sites (childcares, preschools, community centers, parks)
- Communicate professionally with the Leadership Team, families, and site staff
- Ensure each session is safe, organized, and engaging
