About The Position

Soccer Shots is seeking a passionate part-time Youth Soccer Coach to work with children ages 2–8 in locations from Oakland through El Cerrito. Coaches lead engaging, age-appropriate soccer sessions using the Soccer Shots curriculum and early-childhood development teaching techniques, while encouraging character development, confidence, and a love of the game. The role includes setting up and taking down the field and creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for children, families, caregivers, and teachers. The schedule is flexible, with sessions scheduled close to the coach’s location. Weekday mornings, afternoons, and evenings are optional; Saturday mornings are required, and coaches must be available to work one weekend day. Hours may fall between Monday and Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and Saturday or Sunday, 9 a.m.–12 p.m. A ten-week commitment is required to take on a lead role. Local candidates only; work-status or visa sponsorship is not available. Soccer Shots provides paid comprehensive training and opportunities for advancement, including potential full-time roles. Compensation is listed as $22.50 per hour; the posting also describes a training rate of $22.50 per session, a post-training rate of $25 per session, and potential pay up to $30 per session through advancement.
