About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Youth Shoe Manager who will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining expert-level product knowledge, and managing inventory. The role involves engaging with customers, recommending products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card. The manager will also lead product knowledge training for other associates and consistently meet or exceed sales goals. Key duties include managing inventory through internal reports, maintaining an organized backstock, and ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and replenished on the sales floor. The position requires accurate product display through price tagging, sales stickers, and signage, as well as maintaining a professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-oriented atmosphere. Communication with associates, the Scheels Campus, and vendors is essential. The work area must be kept clean, organized, and meet safety standards. Basic math skills are required, including operations with currency, measurements, and percentages. The ability to work an assigned schedule, including varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to perform basic math; perform operations using units of currency, measurements, and understand percentages

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
Maintain expert-level knowledge in all selling areas, as well as lead product knowledge training for other associates
Consistently meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering a high-quality customer experience
Manage inventory by running and analyzing Internal Flash Reports
Effectively maintain an organized backstock while ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and replenished on the sales floor
Ensures their product is accurately displayed to customers through price tagging, sales stickers, and signage
Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-oriented atmosphere
Communicate professionally with other associates within the store, the Scheels Campus, and Vendors/Sales Representatives
Ensures their work area is clean, organized, and meets safety standards
Ability to perform basic math; perform operations using units of currency, measurements, and understand percentages
