About The Position

The Clinton Community Center Boys & Girls Club is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual for the Youth Service Coordinator position. This role is responsible for managing certificate programs, daily attendance, and activity tracking for all members. The coordinator will plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities across multiple program areas, ensuring compliance with all licensing requirements. They will also provide guidance to parents and visitors, manage membership information using the Vision tracking system, and assist with DOE assessments. This position plays a key role in preparing youth for success by instilling a sense of Belonging, Usefulness, Influence, and Competence (BUIC) and creating an environment that fosters youth development outcomes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience working with children
  • Must maintain a professional attitude at all times
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
  • Ability to deal effectively with parents and the general public
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
  • Demonstrated ability of quality customer service
  • Must be flexible and be able to work well with other team members
  • Ability to multitask
  • Problem solving skills
  • Must be CPR and First Aid Certified

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and offer pertinent information on programs, activities, and procedures for joining the club.
  • Implement programs and activities in areas such as tutoring, technology, games, health and recreation, arts and crafts, etc. for youth of all ages.
  • Print and maintain attendance logs, bus rosters, and sign-in/out sheets as needed.
  • Implement set programs such as 21st Century, Smart Moves, Power Hour, accordingly.
  • Provide supervision in various program areas.
  • Promote and stimulate program participation.
  • Create opportunities for development of strengths and competencies.
  • Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
  • Provide active supervision continually interacting with all members and providing motivation and encouragement.
  • Discipline members fairly, consistently, and only according to established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a productive work environment by participating in staff meetings.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to Youth Development Workers.
  • Manage knowledge of all grants and the USDA program.
  • Complete paperwork for grants and the USDA program.
  • Consult with parents as needed concerning fees ensuring that weekly dues are current.
  • Utilize Vision tracking system for membership information.
  • Answer incoming calls as needed.
  • Assist with DOE assessments and make sure all staff are following licensing requirements.
  • Supervise peers in daily programming.
  • Train other staff that are Youth Development Workers and Youth Development Associates.
  • Instill in youth a sense of Belonging, Usefulness, Influence and Competence (BUIC).
  • Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
  • Decorate building entrance, front desk, and foyer area to reflect special events, organizational themes, and different seasons.
  • Help with special events.
  • May be required to help out in multiple areas as needed.
  • Assist Club Director as needed.
