Youth Room Mentor - Part-time
About The Position
This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a fun, safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for children and youth participating in Youth Room activities. The Youth Room Attendant ensures the well-being of all participants while fostering positive relationships with youth, families, and staff in accordance with YMCA policies, procedures, and values. The Youth Room Attendant supports the mission and work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Requirements
- Certifications that must be obtained and maintained within first 90 days: CPR, AED, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication.
- Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with school-aged youth and teens.
