Youth Respite Provider
About The Position
This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible. We are seeking a caregiving provider who is patient, positive, and possesses a calm demeanor that can provide safety and companionship to a pre-school-aged autistic boy. Your role will be to engage with the child through meaningful, developmentally appropriate activities, while supporting his individual needs and routines.
Requirements
- CPR & First Aid Certified
- Experience working with autism/special needs children
- Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, & auto insurance
- 2 years of driving experience
- Background check before hire

Responsibilities
- Engage in meaningful interactions
- Provide companionship by implementing favorite activities into schedule
- Meal prepping & feeding
- Redirect behaviors when needed
- Assist with cleaning up after toileting and changing pull ups
- Assisting with bedtime routine
