About The Position

Mana Resources is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Youth Respite Care Provider to join their team in Nampa & Caldwell, Idaho. This role involves providing short-term support for children and youth with emotional or behavioral health needs, offering parents or caregivers a break. The provider will spend one-on-one time with youth, engaging in positive activities, building connections, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment. The primary goal is to have fun, build trust, encourage positive experiences, and make a difference in a young person's day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Patient, compassionate, dependable, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with youth and families.
  • Comfortable participating in physical and recreational activities.
  • Valid Idaho driver's license, reliable transportation, current vehicle registration, insurance, and a safe driving record.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to successfully complete an enhanced criminal background check.
  • Willingness to complete required Magellan and Mana Resources training.

Nice To Haves

  • Higher education preferred.
  • Experience working with children or youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), mental health challenges, or behavioral needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Spend quality time with children and youth in their homes, out in the community, or at Mana Resources.
  • Plan and participate in fun, age-appropriate activities such as going to the park, playing games, arts and crafts, exercising, or exploring community activities.
  • Provide a safe, positive, and structured environment.
  • Help youth practice healthy coping skills, emotional regulation, and positive social interactions.
  • Support youth during challenging moments using patience, understanding, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Build on each youth's individual strengths, interests, and abilities.
  • Communicate professionally with caregivers, supervisors, and the Mana team.
  • Complete required documentation and follow program guidelines.
