About The Position

At Waypoint, we believe every young adult deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported. We are seeking a compassionate and courageous Youth Resource & Outreach Specialist to provide low-barrier, trauma-informed, and youth-centered support to young adults (ages 18–24), with a focus on those aged 22–24, who are experiencing housing instability or homelessness. This hybrid role involves street-based outreach, progressive case management, and support at the Youth Resource Center (Drop-In). The specialist will build trusting relationships, address immediate needs, and support pathways toward safety, stability, and lasting connections. This role is vital in ensuring the Youth Resource Center is a welcoming, safe, and accessible space and in expanding program reach through outreach and community partnerships.

Requirements

  • Compassionate, courageous, and believe that all humans matter.
  • Experience working with young adults ages 18-24.
  • Understanding of housing instability and homelessness.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Skills in case management.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and youth-centered approaches.
