The Youth Residential Counselor provides direct supervision and support to youth in a residential setting while fostering skill development in areas such as independent living, budgeting, cooking, and laundry. This person will assist residents with community-based activities, including recreational outings, medical appointments, and other essential services. Also, collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team and utilize the Nurtured Heart Approach to help implement individualized treatment goals and promote positive youth development. Pettirosso Community Home offers a structured therapeutic environment where young women receive around-the-clock care and intensive, trauma-informed treatment. Residents engage in individual, group, and family therapy, as well as allied therapies, with the goal of transitioning to a lower level of care or reuniting with their families.
