About The Position

The Clinical Therapist’s primary duties will include the provision of individual, family, and group therapy to youth in residential treatment and their families or caregivers. Youth served are generally between the ages of 8 and 17, healing from a variety of experiences, including trauma, depression, anxiety, ineffective coping, and family relationship challenges. Typical caseload is 9-13 youth. The clinical therapist will also provide psychosocial assessments, ongoing risk assessment, participate in treatment team meetings, advise on precautions for increased safety issues, and contribute to the on-call rotation to handle situations that occur outside regular business hours. Documentation for services will be completed in an electronic health record. Regular communication, written and verbal, with outside partners, such as the Department for Community Based Services, family and juvenile court, the school system, Court Designated Workers, and others is expected.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Art Therapy, or a related field.
  • At least three years of clinical experience working with children or adolescents.
  • Must qualify for CSW, LCSW, LPCA, LPCC, MFT, LMFT, PsyD, T.L.P.A., LPA.
