About The Position

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Youth Re-Engagement Specialist - Case Manager for their Youth Re-Engagement (U3) program, located at Everett Community College. This position provides comprehensive case management services to high school dropouts aged 16-21, assisting them in accessing postsecondary education and earning credentials such as a GED, high school diploma, Associate degree, or professional/technical certification. The role operates under the supervision of a program manager and is integral to Sea Mar's mission of providing quality, comprehensive services to diverse communities.

Requirements

Three+ years of experience working with at-risk youth ages 16-21.
Three years' experience working with community college counselors in helping youth access and complete two-year college degrees.
Experience writing curriculum and preparing training materials for underserved students.
Experience working in a college environment.
Experience in creating/revising high school curricula.
Experience teaching in a college setting.
AA degree required.
Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
Must complete a pre-hire and annual TB test screening.
Annual employee health screening required.
Annual TB test required.
Annual influenza vaccine required (unless an exemption is approved).
Fully fluent in spoken and written English.
Computer literate.
Knowledge of college resources, testing, general practices and policies.
Knowledge of local youth resources.
Ability to keep accurate records, case notes and student documents.
Ability to academically advise a large number of students.
Knowledge of and experience with community college enrollment and registration procedures.
Flexibility and ability to work a non-traditional work schedule.
Must have transportation, driver's license and insurance.
Must navigate initial hire screenings including a background check.
Must sign and date the job description to affirm validity and compliance.
Must sign an oath of permanent confidentiality covering all student-related information.
Must adhere to Sea Mar Employee Health Screening and Infection Control policies.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
BA in human services preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive case management services for high school dropouts, aged 16-21.
Participate in outreach, recruitment, and assessment activities.
Assess applicants to determine program eligibility and complete enrollment/registration documentation and testing.
Identify barriers to school success and develop strategies to overcome them, assisting youth in gaining access to necessary services, including transportation if needed.
Meet with instructors to assist students who are struggling and create plans for success.
Monitor student attendance and educational progress.
Teach a Career Development class, including creating and revising curriculum.
Provide academic advising for all U3 students.
Complete transcript evaluations as needed.
Attend campus meetings/trainings as assigned.
Facilitate information meetings to the general public as assigned.
Conduct orientations for prospective students, including testing.
Maintain accurate files, including up-to-date case notes and other required documents for each student.
Attend regular U3 team, agency, and staff meetings, and other community meetings as assigned.
Perform other duties as determined by the program manager or designee.
