About The Position

St. Francis Community Services strives to be a catalyst for change by helping people overcome poverty and work toward a better life. St. Francis provides legal aid, youth programs, bilingual mental health counseling, case management and more. The Youth Program Family Companion-Volunteer Liaison will support children with homework, improving their reading abilities, and social and emotional growth. Job responsibilities also include applying assessment tools and data management in Salesforce for grant reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, human services, or another related field
  • Experience through employment or volunteerism in child education
  • Bilingual (oral and written) Spanish and English
  • Teaching experience or community/group development experience with kids and families

Nice To Haves

  • Having work experienced is preferable, but not mandatory.
  • Bilingual (oral and written) Spanish and English. This is not mandatory but is preferred.
