The primary function of the Youth Prevention Intern is to assist paid staff in developing curriculum, assisting in training events for schools, parents, and the community. The intern will also need to possess excellent skills in putting together presentations and analyzing data. The intern will need to be available to assist with inputting data after presentations with schools and juvenile detention centers. This position may require limited travel for presentations, training, and team/professional development opportunities. Work is normally performed in an indoor temperature-controlled environment. Work duties may, on rare occasions, be performed in an environment requiring exposure to weather extremes, odors, and noise.
