About The Position

B.E.S.T. is seeking an energetic and dependable Pickleball Coach to lead youth classes on Saturday mornings in Litchfield, AZ. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy teaching sports, working with children, and fostering an active, positive environment where participants can develop new skills and have fun. The coaches will lead structured classes focusing on pickleball fundamentals, movement, coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence. The instructor will be responsible for keeping students engaged while ensuring a safe and encouraging experience for all players.

Requirements

  • Comfortable coaching and communicating with children.
  • Energetic, positive, patient, and enthusiastic.
  • Dependable and committed to consistent attendance.
  • Comfortable leading a group independently.
  • Able to teach pickleball skills while keeping the class fun and engaging.
  • Professional when interacting with children, parents, and school/community partners.
  • A strong communicator and team player.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable personal vehicle and ability to travel to the assigned program location.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 40lbs
  • Commitment to consistently work Saturday mornings.
  • Implement and follow B.E.S.T. lesson plans and coaching techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced with pickleball, tennis, youth sports, coaching, teaching, or recreation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 45 min pickleball classes for youth participants.
  • Teach age-appropriate pickleball fundamentals through drills, activities, and games.
  • Introduce skills such as proper grip, serving, hitting, footwork, positioning, and basic game play.
  • Keep students active, engaged, and participating throughout the class.
  • Demonstrate techniques and explain skills in a way that is easy for children to understand.
  • Manage a group of children while maintaining a positive and organized class environment.
  • Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, effort, and confidence.
  • Follow B.E.S.T. curriculum and coaching expectations.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and program partners.
  • Arrive 30 minutes before class, and stay 10 minutes after class — paid.
  • Set up and put away equipment before and after programming.
  • Ensure the safety and supervision of all participants at all times.
  • Complete required class check-ins, reporting, and attendance tracking.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Represent B.E.S.T. values and uphold a high standard of customer service.
