Youth MOVE NH is hiring two Youth Peer Support Specialists to provide Youth Peer Support to young people across New Hampshire who are experiencing mental and behavioral health challenges. One full-time position focuses on the Keene/Claremont areas, and the other focuses on central/southern New Hampshire; frequent travel to the Concord area is also expected. This direct-service role builds empathetic connections through shared lived experience and serves as an example of success in overcoming mental and behavioral health challenges. The specialist helps youth identify personal strengths and locate clinical and community services and supports. The relationship is less formal than a mentorship but has more structure and boundaries than a supportive friendship. The work requires creativity and flexibility to meet each youth’s needs.
