We invite you to partner with us in our mission to improve mental healthcare. The Youth Partner serves as a peer ally and mentor to children and youth receiving Wraparound services. Drawing from their lived experience in systems such as child welfare, behavioral health, and juvenile justice, the Youth Partner offers authentic support, fosters trust, and champions the voice and choices of the child/youth (referred to as “youth” in this document). They are a symbol of resilience and hope, modeling the possibility of healing and success. The Youth Partner prioritizes emotional support, peer connection, and advocacy. Throughout the Wraparound process, the Youth Partner advocates to ensure the youth’s lived experience is recognized, their voice is heard, and their autonomy is respected.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required
- Personal experience as a consumer in the child welfare, probation, or mental health systems
- YP II - SB803 - Peer Support Specialist Certification required
- YP I - SB803 - Peer Support Specialist Certification required within one (1) year of hire
- Valid California Driver's License and maintenance of a driving record that meets the company driver eligibility policy
Nice To Haves
- Supervision for BBS hours for AMFT, ACSW, and APCC professionals (where applicable).
