About The Position

Church of Grace to the Fujianese is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Pastor to lead and nurture its middle and high school congregation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for youth ministry, a deep understanding of the Bible, and a desire to mentor and disciple young believers. The church is located in Manhattan's Chinatown and has a rich history of serving the Fujianese immigrant community in New York City.

Requirements

Alignment with Reformed theology.
Agreement with the CGF Statement of Faith
A seminary degree from a recognized theological institution (MDiv preferred).
Fluency in English is required.
A deep personal faith and a lifestyle that reflects a commitment to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
A personal testimony that reflects a deep understanding and experience of the gospel.
An understanding of the dynamics of an Asian American multi-generational church.

Nice To Haves

Conversational fluency in Mandarin is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide spiritual guidance, mentorship, and pastoral care to middle and high school students.
Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for youth.
Develop and implement a comprehensive discipleship program tailored to the needs and challenges of young people.
Encourage spiritual growth and active faith among youth.
Prepare and deliver engaging, age-appropriate biblical teachings and sermons.
Facilitate youth Bible studies and discussion groups.
Organize and oversee youth programs and activities, including retreats, mission trips, service projects, and social events.
Foster a strong sense of community and belonging among the youth.
Encourage their active participation in church life.
Maintain regular communication with parents and involve them in the youth ministry.
Offer resources and support for faith-based parenting.
Recruit, train, and support volunteers involved in the youth ministry.
Manage the administrative aspects of the youth ministry, including budgeting, planning, and coordination of events in coordination with the English Ministry leadership team.
