This role involves leading and overseeing the overall Young Life Military program, known as Club Beyond, which is ecumenically focused and outreach oriented. The position aims to provide a safe space for military teens to develop friendships, build hope, and generate resiliency by creating a community where they experience God's love and purpose. The ministry is incarnational, meaning staff live near the community they serve and walk alongside teens. The program addresses the challenges faced by military teens who move frequently, helping them navigate questions of identity and belonging. Staff are expected to be role models, build relationships within the military installation and chapel community, and develop outreach to "unchurched" teens and discipleship to Christian teens. The role requires working effectively in an environment with high turnover among teens, families, chaplains, and volunteers, and respecting the military culture.
