About The Position
Hope's Promise Respite is seeking compassionate and patient individuals to join their team as Afternoon Youth Mentors. This role offers a fun and enjoyable work experience with a consistent schedule that fits your life, allowing you to make an immediate impact and build valuable skills. The position is part-time, with hours available after 2 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and/or Fridays. Requirements
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with adults or children with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance and companionship.
- Facilitate fun community activities for youth living at home.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Support skill development and independence goals.
- Assist with daily living activities as needed.
- Pick up youth in your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement available).
