About The Position

Intensive mentoring and respite position that supports youth in attaining goals outlined in therapy through one on one skill development. Services are child and family-centered, delivered in the home / community and include life and social skill development. Positive outcomes are achieved through purposeful and respectful relationships rooted in trauma informed care, hope and evidence-based research. The Youth Mentor position is an excellent position for those working towards Social Work or Counseling degrees as well as those who are passionate about supporting youth in our community. Requirements

  • Regular availability to work after school, evening, and weekend hours.
  • Experience and/or desire to work with Children and Adolescents.
  • Comfort with working in client homes and/or community settings.
  • Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and clean driving record.
  • Ability and willingness to meet regular supervision and training requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards Social Work or Counseling degrees.
  • Willingness to explore bias, equity issues, successes, and challenges with empathy and curiosity.
