About The Position

Hope's Promise Respite is seeking compassionate and patient individuals to join our team as Afternoon Youth Mentors. This role offers a fun and enjoyable work experience with a consistent schedule that fits your life, allowing you to make an immediate impact and build valuable skills. We provide training and development opportunities, with potential for advancement within the organization. This is a part-time position with hours after 2 PM, Monday through Friday, involving community-based assignments, not in a group home or day program setting.

Requirements

• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with adults or children with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized assistance and companionship.
• Facilitate fun community activities for youth living at home.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Support skill development and independence goals.
• Assist with daily living activities as needed.
• Pick up youth in your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement available).
