About The Position

CHADS Coalition is seeking a licensed therapist passionate about working with children and adolescents, primarily in a school setting. This part-time role offers meaningful daytime work, a consistent school-based schedule, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people. The organization believes every young person deserves access to compassionate mental health care before a crisis occurs. The role involves providing evidence-based counseling and collaborating with families, schools, and community partners to support student well-being.

Requirements

Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
Current Missouri licensure as an LMSW, PLPC, LPC, LCSW, or other independently licensed mental health professional.
Experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, or young adults.
Strong assessment, treatment planning, communication, and documentation skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel.
Builds trusting relationships with children and adolescents.
Leads with empathy, professionalism, and respect.
Values early intervention and suicide prevention.
Works well independently while collaborating with educators, families, and clinical colleagues.
Is organized, dependable, and committed to quality care and documentation.

Nice To Haves

School-based counseling experience.
Experience facilitating adolescent groups.
Knowledge of suicide prevention, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

Provide individual counseling for students experiencing anxiety, depression, self-injury, suicidal ideation, and other behavioral or emotional concerns.
Complete clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Deliver services primarily in partner schools, with occasional telehealth or office-based sessions as appropriate.
Coordinate care with parents, school personnel, healthcare providers, and community resources.
Provide case management and connect families with needed supports.
Respond to mental health crises following CHADS clinical protocols.
Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and required program data.
Participate in clinical consultation, team meetings, and professional development.
