About The Position

Join the Earlywine Park YMCA team as a Youth and Family Department Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing our community programs focused on youth and family development. Requirements

  • Must stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually (Training provided by the Y, if needed)
  • Must complete all required annual compliance training within 30 days of hire and renewed annually
  • Must be 21 years old with experience in working with infants, children, and families
  • Must exemplify and support the philosophy of the YMCA
  • Scheduling, supervising, and evaluating staff, address parent concerns and communicate effectively both oral and written
  • Previous experience working with children and families in a recreational or educational setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of youth programs

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree in recreation, education, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing department programs including Child Watch, School Age Care, and Summer Day Camp
  • Support daily operations of youth and family programs, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality activities and experiences for children and families
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and community partners to promote program participation and address concerns
  • Maintain program records, attendance, and compliance with YMCA policies and safety standards
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising program staff and volunteers
  • Contribute to the development of new program ideas and initiatives to meet community needs
