About The Position

The youth engagement intern will join the education and engagement team at Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc., which focuses on educating students and the public about agriculture, as well as offering networking and leadership development opportunities. As a summer intern you will work approximately 37.5 hours per week at our downtown headquarters, from May 24 to August 22.

Requirements

  • Applicants who are self-motivated, creative, detail-oriented, and can establish clearly defined goals and objectives for projects
  • A college student in their freshman through junior year.

Nice To Haves

  • Applicants pursuing an agricultural degree who understand youth livestock programming
  • An agricultural background.

Responsibilities

  • working with youth programs (4-H/FFA/Collegiate Farm Bureau) to develop and boost programming with these groups and activities that enhance INFB’s industry relations
  • helping plan and execute INFB’s exhibitor experience at the Indiana State Fair
  • helping coordinate and implement INFB’s Young Farmers & Ag Professionals summer awards and competitions
  • assisting with leadership development workshops and programming.
