Youth Education Support Teacher

Jannus IncBoise, ID

About The Position

The English Language Center (ELC) is Boise’s designated English language program for adult refugees in the Treasure Valley. Our mission is to help students gain English proficiency, learn about community resources, and develop life skills to thrive in their community. The ELC provides leveled English classes, specialized programs, and a safe space for community. The Youth Education Support (YES) Project expands this mission by promoting access to childcare and supporting the cognitive, social, and emotional development of ORR-eligible children ages 18 months and up. The project aims to ensure school readiness, strengthen parental engagement, and build partnerships with childcare providers and early learning programs. The Youth Education Support Teacher at the English Language Center is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 18 months and up while their parents or guardians attend English language classes onsite. This is not a daycare setting; parents will remain in the facility at all times. The Teacher will work closely with ELC staff to align child enrollment with adult English class enrollment. They will work alongside the YES Project Manager to develop and implement age-appropriate, culturally relevant curriculum that supports learning, language development, and social-emotional growth for children from diverse immigrant and refugee backgrounds.
