Responsible for executing hands-on programs with youth focused on achieving 3 priority outcomes: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship. Positions are available for all age groups, K-12th graders. This role involves preparing youth for success by executing Club programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes, under the guidance of the Unit Director and Program Outcomes Directors. The professional will facilitate fun and educational activities with kids, staying consistent with organizational goals and mission. This includes reading lesson plans, laying out materials in advance, and performing other tasks to prepare for day-to-day program activities. Ensuring members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills is key. Maintaining control of the group, demonstrating leadership to ensure proper conduct, safety, and development of members, and implementing discipline procedures when needed are also crucial. Forming positive relationships with youth, mentoring, coaching, and encouraging them to believe in themselves and their dreams are essential. Professionalism and appropriate conduct at all times are expected, along with keeping members safe by following and enforcing all child safety policies and procedures. Additionally, the role involves facility maintenance, ensuring program areas are clean, safe, well ventilated and well-lit, and that Club equipment is maintained in good working condition. Daily cleaning of the assigned area is required. Record keeping, including taking accurate attendance for each activity and turning in timesheets and other required paperwork on time, is also part of the responsibilities.
